Tulalip Tribes Announce New Casino
Tulalip Tribes have announced the opening of a new casino. The new casino scheduled to open in 2021 will replace Quil Ceda Creek Casino. Plans to build a brand-new casino were first announced in 2017, but construction was put on a halt in 2018 due to some challenges. Last week, Tulalip Tribes released images and a statement informing everyone that the final phase of construction on the new casino building has resumed.
Since the setback in 2018 until now, the casino building has grown by 17 000 square feet and has an additional 250 slot machines. The current size of the building is 127 000 square feet. That is twice the size of the previous casino building. Quil Ceda Creek Casino will remain open until all renovations on the new casino have been finished, and is ready to open.
New Casino Features
The overall projects cost $125m and has special features that customers can look forward to. Some features include a 212-seater food hall, an entertainment lounge and 1500 slot machines in total.
There are also 16 table game facilities, up three from the previous table games count, as well as a private meeting room and service bars. The new garage has 6 levels that can cover 1068 cars and has charging stations for customers with electric cars. The tribe also improved nearby streets for better access to the casino.
Tulalip Tribes Happy with Progress
President and Chief Operating Officer of the organization, Ken Kettler, says progress on the new casino has been good. He said that having guests at the current property is great, but they can’t wait to welcome everyone to the new building. They expect the new casino to rake in millions in gaming revenue each year.
