Multi-Million Saracen Casino Launched in Arkansas

The $350 million-dollar Saracen Casino project launched a few weeks ago to much excitement in Arkansas. The opening up of legislation and new gambling laws has had a positive impact on the gambling industry in the state. Although the casino resort is not yet fully completed the ceremony signals the approach of completion. Saracen is expected to do way more than just provide entertainment. The project will contribute towards permanent employment for locals in Pine Bluff. The Saracen Casino is also of great cultural importance to the Quapaw Nation Tribe. Who Will Run the New Saracen Casino?

The Quapaw Nation Tribe who were the sole bidders for the casino will run the resort through its Downstream Development Authority (DDA). When the new casino is finally complete it will have 300 hotel suites restaurants and convention areas. There are four other counties which have been approved for casino locations. Additional casinos will be built in Hot Springs, West Memphis and the fourth is yet to be advised. Originally Pope County had been approved for a casino to be built. However, the residents in that area voted resoundingly against a casino being built in their locality.

When is the Saracen Expected to Be Operational?

According to the plan, Saracen casino should be up and running by June 2020. The additional features such as the convention centre will be operational by the end of 2020. While the locals wait for the casino to launch, there are slot machines to be offered soon. Reports have been made that there will be a store with slot machines in a small casino section.
